Caroline Quinn was born in Dublin, Ireland, and holds a Certificate in Photography and Digital Imaging from the National College of Art and Design in Dublin. Prior to becoming a photographer, Caroline worked for several years as an accountant. She holds business degree and a chartered management accountant qualification.
Caroline has several years experience as a Press/Sports photographer working for Independent News & Media for both the Irish Independent and the Herald covering local and national news, features and sports events.
She is a member of the Press Photographers Association of Ireland (PPAI).
She has worked for photo agencies such as Sportsfile, Inpho, Press Association and AFP
She is one of the official Photographers for the Camogie Association.
She was the official photographer for AIBA at the London2012 Olympics.
She covers events and features for Golf Digest Ireland magazine and Golfing Weekly.
She was the official photographer for the 2012 and 2014 tours by Wounded Warrior USA soldiers Golf tours of Ireland.
She has won the GAA McNamee Award for Photo of the Year in 2010. She has won the RTE Camogie Photo of the year in 2010 and 2011. She has had some of her images shortlisted in the Press Photographer Association of Ireland (PPAI) Awards in recent years.
She has covered the major events including; UEFA EURO 2012 Soccer championships, London2012 Olympics, Rugby Heineken Cup Finals, Irish Open Golf Championship, All-Ireland GAA Hurling and Football Finals, All-Ireland Camogie Finals and Irish Grand National horseracing festivals.
She has produced a book entitled ‘Soft Landing’ as part of her studies in NCAD, which was a photo study of the Social Welfare offices during the downturn in 2009.
She is currently working on a photo project on Darndale in 2015/16, where she grew up as a child.
